This is week two of our challenge. I have to say it has been a bit better. I have started looking at this challenge a bit differently. I am glad to say it has been helping.
First I have started to change what I am eating. A friend, like a mentioned last week, told me how she took most of the carbs out of her diet. She found that a high amount of carbs; like breads, treats, cookies, potatoes, and other types of carbs. So I have started to take things that have a high amount of sugar out of my daily eating. I will tell you it is not easy.
Second I have started taken a high amount of probiotics. Some of you have probably started hear about excessive amounts of bad bacteria and how it can build up. I have a feeling some if not most of my problems stem from to much bad bacteria in my body. I have added two different probiotics in pill form. I have also started drinking kombucha tea, which has a high amount of probiotics in it.
Lastly, I have increased my liquid intake. The specific liquid intake is healthy liquid; water, herbal tea, and kombucha. I know that I need to be drinking approximately 100 oz. of water a day, which is hard. The one struggle I am having is coffee. I love coffee; the smell, the taste, the texture. I am trying to limit myself to the amount, but that has been really hard. So it is my one splurge.
The good news is that I have lost four pounds this week. I have dropped down to 164 which is the lowest I have been in about 6 months to a year. I know as this week moves on I need to add more to my schedule. The biggest thing to add is exercise. I have a "allergic" reaction to exercise. It doesn't like me, and well I don't like it. But I do know that it is a need.
Part of helping my body be strong is not just what I eat, it is what I do. I need to make better choices on the amount of sleep I get. I know I need to add more activity into my life. My body is not getting younger, and I know that it is not as easy to strength it nor repair it. God has given me a temple, and my job is to take care of it.
