Dr. Seuss was born March 2 1904, with the name Theodore Seuss Giebel. He was born in Springfield Massachutes. He studied at Dartmouth College and Oxford University. While in school he penned the name Dr. Seuss and later went on to cartooning for Vanity fair. Dr. Seuss would become one of the most well known children authors of our times. Dr. Seuss sold over 600 million copies, and translated into 20 different languages before his death on September 24, 1991.
Dr. Seuss books has touched many lives and helped many children learn how to read. In my own home we read books such as Green Eggs and Ham, Go Dog Go, 1 Fish Blue Fish Red Fish, Cat in the hat, and so many more. They graced our shelves, and entertained our nights. Who would not want to honor this man by celebrating such a day.
